Here is a fun book that weaves the history of Motown with the stylish icon of all times. This is a beautiful read for anyone who appreciates music, beautiful women and the fascinating era in American history from the 1960's. The music and prescence endures. Great gifting idea.

I love this book. An affectionate and intelligent study of Diana's extensive recording career. Perfect for reading chronologically or if you fancy dipping in and out of different periods of her career.

Seen so many great reviews from critics and fans of this book I had to see what all the fuss was about. Did it live up to its good reputation? Absolutely!!! And all the great reviews are most deserving for this is the first book I can recall that has chronicled Diana Ross' career in such detail. Every album, every single, every film, every significant career highlight is in here all of which is written about with great insight and so entertaining too. Couldn't believe The Supremes recorded so many albums in such a short space of time - and I thought i had EVERY Supremes album. I think this is the definitive reference guide to Diana Ross and there is so much to learn here. Some interesting tidbits about The Primettes too. I think even the less intense Diana Ross fan will find much to enjoy from this tome aside Diana/Supremes/Motown fans. An easy 5 stars from me and it's not often that I agree with the critics but in this case the great reviews they've given this book are more than justified!

Thoroughly excellent! Enjoyable reading about all of Diana's work in music and films. The reviews are so concise, paying so much attention to every little detail. This is the definitive tome to Diana. She hasn't always had the respect she deserves, but, thankfully this book most certainly makes u for it. It's obvious the author's a HUGE fan although he actually does seem quite objective at the same time. I'd often considered myself something of a Diana Ross expert myself until I read this - so much information about stuff she has never released too. Many of the photos are beautiful although I think the publishers should have gone the extra mile and made them clearer as the text by the author is so excellent. Nice to read a serious account about Diana's career rather than someone trying to undermine it which is what some of the press seem intent on doing. Got to be a must-have for any genuine fan of the lady.
